Monthly TBR | June 2019

Friends! I have an exciting bookish month ahead! I got a new publishing partner, got an ARC from my other partner that’s gotten ~a lot~ of buzz lately, and I’ll be reading with the Cozy Mystery Book Club!

I talked about this a little in my monthly wrap up for May, but I’m going to start only scheduling review copies and ARCs in my TBR and just squeezing in whatever else I feel like/have time for. I always set the bar high and then feel bad when I don’t complete it. So, this month I’m changing the game!

The good news here is that I’m running through my ARCs; most of what I had from NetGalley were books that released in Spring/early Summer so I got swamped there for a minute, but I only have a few books on my NetGalley queue, but more on that in a separate post.

For now, let’s break down my June reading plans!

Friend ZoneThe Friend Zone

I’ll be reading this ARC courtesy of my friends at Forever Publishing! It comes out in early June so I started reading this immediately this month, and I’m so so so excited for this one. I’ve heard rave reviews for it already and lots of my other Forever friends have been buzzing about it, so I’m so thrilled to be a partner with them and to get gems like this one on the reg. Left Fur DeadLeft Fur Dead

Another one of my partner copies, Left Fur Dead is a new cozy mystery from Kensington Publishing. It releases on June 25th, so I’ll be reading it this month as well! I love cozies; they’re one of the new genres I discovered when I started book blogging so I’m really excited to read this one. The cover is adorable and the synopsis sounds fun and interesting. Also, there will be a giveaway for this! Check back on my Instagram (link below!) for details!

A Dark and Stormy MurderA Dark and Stormy Murder

So this book is another cozy and I’ve had it on my TBR for a while. I admittedly wasn’t going to buy it but my library didn’t have it, so I wasn’t going to have a way to read it unless I bought it. This is this month’s pick for the Cozy Mystery Book Club (@cozymysteryclub on Twitter) and I decided to read along with them this month because I’ve already had this one on my TBR and I’m super into book clubs/read-a-longs this Summer! If you’re reading this as well let me know so we can discuss!

Springtime at Hope CottageSpringtime at Hope Cottage

My final scheduled read for this month, Springtime at Hope Cottage is a review copy I received from Forever a few months ago that got lost in the ARC shuffle. I feel bad that I haven’t gotten to some of the past books I’ve received from them and I’ve held off on requesting from them for a while because I wanted to get caught up, but I can’t wait to pick this one up! I read the first book in the series, Christmas on Mistletoe Lane, last Christmas as part of my holiday romance blitz. I borderline loved it; the community, the characters, the writing style, it was all perfect. I can’t wait to visit this little town again.

So these are the four I have concretely scheduled for this month, but I do have one or two I would like to get to if I have the chance. I’m currently reading The Friend Zone and I’m also listening to the audiobook version of A Duke in the Night by Kelly Bowen because I needed to satisfy my historical cravings.

I actually already have one book down for June – Heart of Mist, the review for which will be out on June 9th, so we’ll see where the month takes me!

I hope you all have a wonderful reading month and get your whole TBR read! Sending love and happy Summer vibes!
