Wow oh wow! My NetGalley shelf is really heating up this month!
Since my last update, I’ve gotten some great new reads loaded on to my Kindle and I’m so excited about them! I got one blog tour lined up, two of my highly anticipated reads, and some goodies from my publishing friends.
One of my biggest goals for this year was to be very selective about what I requested and accepted through NetGalley because I wanted to be more conscious of both my feedback rating as well as the books that I already owned.
Well, there were some really great offers and some really exciting releases and I’ve now got a solid 7 books on my NetGalley shelf. Unfortunately I was denied for the new Ruth Ware and The Guest List, but that’s okay because I have no issue purchasing both upon release!

Okay I’m still not over the fact that I get to read an ARC of this and will (hopefully) get a finished copy through my friends at Forever and Grand Central Publishing.
This has been one of my most anticipated since I first read The Royal We in like 2015. Royal romance is one of my absolute favorite sub-genres and the whole Will and Kate aspect of this story is so realistic and exciting. If you’ve been following me for a while you know how much I adore the Duchess of Cambridge, so this series is an absolute favorite of mine.

A gift from my lovely friends at Forever Publishing, I am so excited to start this rom-com! This will be my first Farrah Rochon novel, but it has some really great reviews through Goodreads and my friends on Bookstagram, so I’m very much excited to dive into this.
Also, how perfect is this cover? The smirks. The rolled up sleeves. A handsome man. Those fun text boxes. This is going to be good, I can tell!

I. Am. So. Excited. For. This.
The Lighthouse Library Mysteries from Eva Gates is my absolute favorite cozy mystery series and I’m so glad they got picked up by Crooked Lane! I’ve read every one of these books and the last 2 in the series have been ARCs I’ve been blessed with.
I’ve been hunting NetGalley for this since I first saw the announcement on Eva’s Facebook, and I was so happy to see it up last week! While this does release in October, I don’t know if I’ll be able to wait that long to read it!

Okay I’m really excited about this book for a few reasons. One, I don’t read middle grade often but this sounds very good and I love being able to post about some family friendly/young reader friendly reads on my site. Two, I also don’t read a lot of LGBTQ novels, so I’m really looking forward to that aspect. Three, I signed up for a blog tour of this and I can’t wait!
I do, from time to time, get emails from some lovely people over at Algonquin Books and Algonquin Young Readers and when I was offered a spot on the blog tour for this I jumped at it. My review and spotlight of this novel will be published June 24th, so keep an eye out!
I don’t have any pending requests right now since I was declined for two of my requests, which I am totally fine with because now I need to read, read, read and get my feedback percentage up!
I have Ruthless Gods on my TBR for this month so I’ll pick that up following my current read and that should help a lot. I’m going to try and stay on top of my upcoming releases and then slowly knock off that three book backlist, but I am not at all unhappy with how my NetGalley goals are shaping up this year!
Can you believe 2020 is nearly half way over? It may seem like this year has been utter shit, but at least I have some good reads to keep me company in these crazy times!
