Hello and Happy November! Or should I say, Merry Christmas? HA! We all know that right after trick-or-treat all the Christmas goodies come out!
I’m so excited for the upcoming Holidays but I’ll be using November as a transition into Holiday reading! I have some Christmas romances on my Kindle that I’ve been meaning to read for a few years now, so I’m excited to be able to read those in the next two months! Christmas contemporaries for the win!
This month I have four books planned to read but I’m keeping it low to keep my options open as I have a lot of audiobooks I want to read and a lot of backlisted books I want to try and squeeze in.
Let’s get started!
My first planned read for November is the second book in the Diviners series, Lair of Dreams. I’m currently reading this and about 50% of the way through but I’m loving this! These are pretty thick books but they’re so so so damn good. I took a quick break to read one of my new Harlequin novels I got last week, but I’m ready to get back into this! I’m hoping to finish in the first week of November, but we’ll see how that goes with work!
Ah yes, the book that has been on my planned TBR for the last two months makes another appearance in November. Who woulda thought? No seriously, I will be reading Home Before Dark this month! I’m going to pick it up after I finish Lair of Dreams! This has been one of the hottest books on Bookstagram since before it’s release so I want to experience what everyone is talking about!
3) One By One
My next planned read for November is Ruth Ware’s newest novel, One by One! I went out and got this as soon as it came out and I’m so excited to pick it up this month! I talk about this all the time but I have a serious love/hate relationship with Ruth Ware’s writing. I love love love her prose and her ability to set a scene and create atmosphere, but I don’t always enjoy her mystery. This has had been a hot topic book for a while so I’m hoping it lives up to the hype!
My final planned read for the month is this ARC from my friends at Forever! It’s a debut novel from Barb Curtis and I’m so excited to start it! The cover is adorable, the premise sounded so good, and it’s got great reviews already! I believe this comes out November 10th, so I’ll be getting this in sometime in release month, which is great for me! I’m always down to knock something off my ARC/NetGalley list!
I already finished one book for the month of November so I’m off to a good start!
I’m hoping to be able to squeeze in an audiobook or two, some backlisted historicals, and maybe a Harlequin or two this month, as well! I haven’t been reading as much as I want to lately, so I’m going to make a better effort to read more in my free time this month.
What are you planning on reading this November?
